Why Save Narragansett Bay? I am a designated estuary of unparalleled beauty and national significance. Estuaries—where fresh water from the rivers meets salt water from the sea—are among the most diverse and biologically productive ecosystems on earth, surpassing tropical rainforests. Yet I have become the final resting place for sewage, oil, chemicals, fertilizer and other pollutants. Your contribution helps Save The Bay to oppose destructive coastal development projects and to advocate for better laws and regulations toward keeping me clean. |
